The Flacon Guide
Flacon is a free, for-fun perfume generator. Type a name, a mood, or a vibe and it mints an original, entirely fictional fragrance for you: an invented scent name, a made-up perfume house and era, and a top → heart → base notes pyramid, all drawn as one screenshot-ready flacon (that is the French word for a small stoppered bottle). Nothing here is a real perfume, and Flacon never tells you what to buy or what something “smells like.” It is a playful keepsake — an aesthetic version of a word, turned into a bottle you can share.
How to use it
Start on the home page and type one thing into the box — your name, a person you are thinking of, a place, a mood like rainy Sunday, or an aesthetic like cottagecore. Then pick a style: Autochooses a look from your word, Niche gives a faceted contemporary bottle, Vintage Apothecary leans into storied glass and serif labels, and Modern Minimal is a clean cylinder. Press Mint my scent and the flacon unstoppers to reveal your perfume — its name, house, year, scent family, and the three tiers of notes. From there you can Download the image,Share a link (which shows an auto-generated preview card),Re-roll for a fresh variation of the same word, orMake another from scratch.
Generation is deterministic: the same word and style always produce the same perfume, so you can send a friend a link and know they will see exactly what you saw. Re-rolling nudges an internal seed to give you a new take without changing your input. Everything runs in your browser — no account, no upload, no waiting.
Tips for better flacons
- Short, evocative inputs (a single name or a two-word mood) tend to read more cleanly on the label than long sentences.
- Try the same word across all four styles — the notes stay related but the bottle and mood shift a lot.
- Re-roll a few times before you download; small variations often land on a nicer name or palette.
- The scent family — fresh, floral, woody, oriental, gourmand, chypre, aromatic or leather — drives the colour grade, so chase a mood by feeling out which words push which family. Aromatic runs cool lavender-grey and leather runs deep cordovan; both are worth hunting for.
- The bottle itself varies too: eight glass silhouettes (including a pinched carafe and a sharp-cornered pillar) and eight stoppers, pooled by the style you pick. Re-roll on one style to tour its glassware.

Will the same word always give the same result?
Yes, for a given style. That is what makes links reliable. Use Re-roll if you want a different variation of the same word. One honest caveat: we keep adding to the collection — new scent families, new glassware — and when the pool grows, a word can land somewhere new. A link you shared long ago may mint a different perfume than the one you first saw.
Do you store my input or need an account?
