Privacy Policy — Flacon
Last updated 30 July 2026. Flacon is a free, for-fun fictional-perfume generator operated by the AI Agency. This page explains in plain language what happens to the word you type and to the data your browser sends us.
The short version
No account, no sign-up, no email address, and no advertising profile built by us. Your perfume is composed in your browser. When a flacon is minted we store the word behind it so the shareable link keeps working. We show ads (Google AdSense) and measure aggregate traffic (Google Analytics), and both wait for your cookie choice before setting advertising cookies.
What we collect
The word you type
Flacon turns whatever you type — a name, a mood, a place, an aesthetic — into an entirely invented perfume, and it does that in your browser. The result is deterministic: the same word in the same style always yields the same flacon. While you are typing, previewing and re-rolling, nothing is sent to us.
Minted, shareable flacons
Once a flacon finishes revealing, the app mints it on our server so that a share link can carry a real preview image. That request contains only what is needed to re-create the identical perfume: the word you typed, the style you chose, and the re-roll number. We store that alongside the invented perfume name, its scent family and the time it was minted, so the /f/… link you share keeps resolving later. Please do not type anything sensitive or private: the word appears on the resulting card, and a shared link is viewable by anyone who has it.
An anonymous daily tally
We keep two kinds of counter per day: how many flacons were minted in total, and how many landed in each scent family. They are plain numbers with no identifier attached to them, and they power the “minted today” line on the home page.
Ordinary server logs
Like every website, our hosting (Amazon Web Services) writes technical request logs — IP address, timestamp, path, browser user-agent. We use them to keep the site running and to investigate abuse, and we do not join them to your minted flacons.
Advertising & cookies
We use Google AdSense to show ads, which is what keeps Flacon free to use. Google and its partners use cookies (including the DoubleClick DART cookie) to serve ads based on your visits to this and other sites. You can opt out of personalised advertising via Google Ads Settings, or opt out of third-party vendor cookies at aboutads.info/choices. Advertising consent is collected by Google’s certified consent-management platform, which shows you a choice before any ad cookies are set and lets you change that choice at any time from the link in its message.
Analytics
We use Google Analytics 4 to see aggregate things like how many people visited and which pages they used — never to identify you. It runs with Google Consent Mode v2 and advertising storage denied by default until you choose otherwise.
Who else sees your data
Only the providers that make the site work: Amazon Web Services (hosting, storage and logs), Google AdSense (advertising) and Google Analytics (measurement). We do not sell personal information, we do not trade it, and we share it with nobody else.
How long we keep it
Minted flacons are kept so that links people have already shared do not break. The daily counters are aggregate and kept indefinitely. Server logs are rotated by our host on a short cycle. If you want a specific minted flacon removed, send us its link and we will delete it.
Your rights (GDPR / CCPA)
If you are in the EEA, the UK or Switzerland you have the right to access, correct, delete, restrict or object to the processing of your personal data, and to receive a copy of it. If you are in California you have the right to know what we collect and to have it deleted; we do not sell personal information, so there is nothing to opt out of on that front. You can accept or reject cookies at any time and clear them in your browser. To exercise any of these rights, email us using the address below.
Children
Flacon is not directed at children under 13, and we do not knowingly collect personal information from them. If you believe a child has sent us something, contact us and we will remove it.
Changes to this policy
If the product changes what it collects, this page changes with it and the date at the top is updated. There is no separate archive of older versions.
